With its rich history and beautiful Castles, there is a lot to see in London, England. But what they don't tell you is how large London is. Due to its size it is smart to go into touring with a game plan and that is what I am here to offer.
The London Dungeon- Thrilling Tour Full Of Fun!
The London Dungeon is a tourist attraction along London's South Bank, England. On this attraction you take a tour through a dark twisted satire of the history of London. This thrill tour is great for anyone who loves haunted houses, comedy and horror. When I visited London at age 12, my family and I attended the London Dungeon. During the tour I was sentenced to be beheaded for stealing chocolate. If you stop by besure to let me know your crime! The fun doesn't stop there, at the end you get to ride an attraction ending your tour in screams!
The Windsor Castle- The Royal Residence
Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest castle in the world. The Castle has been the family home of British kings and queens for over 900 years. This castle is currently home to Queen Elizabeth II, who frequents during the weekends usually. On this tour you will get the chance to see the changing of the guard, beautiful Van Dyke paintings and Queen Mary’s Doll house.
Leadenhall Market- Harry Potter Production Site
Remember when Harry Potter and Hagrid go shopping for wands in Diagon Alley? Well you can go to the Leadenhall Market. Take a tour or look around in this covered market. Leadenhall Market dates back to the 14th century. This once meat and poultry only market is now home to many boutique retailers, wine bars and restaurants. This market is also only 10 minutes away from The Tower of London.
This summer I will be studying abroad in London and cannot wait to revisit these attractions. The last time I visited was 10 years ago so I am excited to see what has changed and be able to give you more suggestions on where to visit during your London stay.
